Sears® Stars on Ice® Presented By Samsung® Welcomes Olympic Silver Medalists Tanith Belbin & Ben Agosto

(Toronto, ON) – Canada's premier figure skating tour, Sears Stars on Ice Presented by Samsung, has brought together a superstar ensemble of Olympic, World and National Champions from all over the globe for its 21st season. This year's cast promises to deliver fans of all ages the ultimate live figure skating experience with a gathering of legends past, present, and future. It will visit 12 cities nationwide beginning in Halifax, NS on Thursday, April 21st.

The Tour is proud to welcome Olympic Silver Medalists Tanith Belbin & Ben Agosto, who will appear in the first half of the Tour visiting Halifax, NS; Ottawa, ON; Windsor; ON; Toronto, ON; Hamilton, ON and London, ON. Belbin, who originally hails from Kingston, ON, will be touring Canada for the first time. Canada's Olympic Gold Medalists Tessa Virtue & Scott Moir will continue on to the World Figure Skating Championships, which take place in Moscow, Russia from April 24th to May 1st. The competition was originally to be held at the end of March in Tokyo, Japan, but due to the devastating effects of the Tohoku earthquake and tsunami, it was postponed. Virtue & Moir will return to the Tour for the second half, visiting Winnipeg, MB; Saskatoon, SK; Edmonton, AB; Calgary, AB; Victoria, BC and Vancouver, BC. 

Sears Stars on Ice Presented by Samsung continues to be a pioneer in figure skating by offering fans the rare opportunity to witness some of the world's most creative and cherished champions performing together in both individual and ensemble routines. Four-Time World Champion & Four-Time Canadian National Champion Kurt Browning will be joined by 2010 Olympic Gold Medalists Tessa Virtue & Scott Moir and 2010 Olympic Gold Medalist Evan Lysacek (United States), along with a phenomenal cast of some of the world's most respected athletes, including Olympic Gold Medalists Jamie Salé & David Pelletier; Olympic Silver Medalist Sasha Cohen (United States); Olympic Bronze Medalist & World Champion Jeffrey Buttle; Olympic Silver Medalists Tanith Belbin & Ben Agosto (United States); Olympic Bronze Medalist Joannie Rochette; 2011 Canadian National Silver Medalist Shawn Sawyer and World Bronze Medalist Kyoko Ina (United States).

The Sears Stars on Ice Presented by Samsung Tour, founded and produced by Olympic Gold Medalist Scott Hamilton, is one of the leading entertainment events in the nation.
