CANADIAN ICON KURT BROWNING TO JOIN 2019 STARS ON ICE TOUR

Stars on Ice is proud to announce the return of one of the greatest Canadian Men’s figure skaters of all-time to the Tour for 2019. Four-time World Champion and four-time Canadian Champion Kurt Browning will skate in Stars on Ice for the first time since the 2017 show in Vancouver. “I thought I was ready to say good bye to touring, but when the invite came, I realized how much I missed and wanted to skate with the Stars on Ice tour again.”

Stars on Ice will also add Olympic Silver Medalist Evgenia Medvedeva and Canadian Olympic ice dancers Piper Gilles & Paul Poirier to the 2019 Tour cast. Medvedeva, a two-time Olympic Silver Medalist and two-time World Champion from Russia, is one of the most exciting skaters in the world. She has strong Canadian ties, training in Toronto with her new coach, Brian Orser. The seven-time Canadian National Medalists, Gilles and Poirier, will be joining Stars on Ice on the heels of nearly topping the podium at the recent 2019 National Championships.

They will join an already stellar 2019 tour cast, which features several 2018 Olympic medalists, including; Olympic Gold and Silver Medalist, three-time World Champion, and ten-time National Champion Patrick Chan; Olympic Gold, Silver and Bronze Medalist, 2018 World Champion and three-time National Champion Kaetlyn Osmond; Olympic Gold, Silver and Bronze Medalists, two-time World Champions, and seven-time National Pair Champions Meagan Duhamel & Eric Radford; two-time Olympic Silver Medalist, three-time World Champion, and seven-time National Champion Elvis Stojko; Olympic Bronze Medalist, World Champion and three-time National Champion Jeffrey Buttle; three-time World Medalists, three-time and reigning National Champions and 2018 Olympians Kaitlyn Weaver & Andrew Poje. The 2019 Stars on Ice Tour, Canada’s premier figure skating show, will visit 12 cities nationwide beginning in Halifax, NS on Friday, April 26th, and wrapping up in Vancouver, BC on Thursday, May 16th.
