Olympic Bronze Medalist Mirai Nagasu Rounds Out Stellar Cast

(Toronto, ON) – With nearly 1.5 million combined TikTok and Instagram followers, Elladj Baldé is easily the most popular Canadian figure skater in the social media universe. Known for his athletic moves, hip-hop infused steps and fresh music choices, Baldé became an overnight sensation earlier this year, using his new platform to raise awareness of the need for greater inclusiveness in the sport. Now, for the first time in his career, the former Canadian junior champion is going on tour, joining the 2021 Stars on Ice cast visiting 12 cities nationwide beginning in Halifax, NS on Friday, October 8th, and wrapping up in Vancouver, BC on Wednesday, October 27th. “I’ve performed all over the world, but I’ve never had the opportunity before to skate in a show in front of my fellow Canadians,” said Elladj Baldé. “Stars on Ice is helping me realize this dream, all while sharing the ice with icons that were big inspirations of mine, like Kurt Browning and Elvis Stojko.”

Also joining this year’s tour is Olympic Bronze medalist, and former Dancing with the Stars contestant Mirai Nagasu. This completes the cast lineup as Stars on Ice returns to the ice in Canada after a 17-month hiatus. The new production, simply entitled “Journey,” will effortlessly glide fans into an on-ice visual exploration of the myriad of feelings experienced over the past year, all while learning to adapt and grow in this new world in which we live.

The 2021 tour cast boasts a lineup of legends and tour favorites, including: four-time World Champion and four-time Canadian Champion Kurt Browning; two-time Olympic Silver Medalist, three-time World Champion and seven-time Canadian Champion Elvis Stojko; Olympic Gold, Silver and Bronze Medalist, 2018 World Gold Medalist and three-time Canadian Champion Kaetlyn Osmond; Olympic Bronze Medalist, World Champion and three-time Canadian Champion Jeffrey Buttle; three-time Canadian Dance Champions, three-time World Medalists and 2018 Olympians Kaitlyn Weaver & Andrew Poje; Olympic Gold, Silver and Bronze Medalist, two-time World Champion, and seven-time Canadian Pair Champion Meagan Duhamel & Olympic Silver Medalist and Canadian Pair Champion Dylan Moscovitch; and two-time United States Champion Alissa Czisny.
